PURPOSE:

One of the most identifiable native plants in the landscape. Tall straight trunk or trunks with dense rounded head and sphere of long narrow leaves. Flowers in spring, fruit in summer for native birds.

Looks most natural if planted in groups. Three or more plants can be planted together in same hole to achieve this effect.

Grows in all soils and situations, even where little else of interest will grow. Prefers full sun, some light shade is ok

Does not require pre-treatment. Sow shallow over bed of seed mix. keep moist. Place in warm position away from direct sunlight until seedlings emerge in 4+ weeks

Prick out once large enough to handle. Seedlings transplant well with little to no visible shock. 450ml planter bags adequate first 6-9 months. Expect 30cm growth first year.

Protect seedlings from slugs, snails, and frost

50 seeds per packet 

Seeds may be refrigerated up to12 months until ready to be sown
